I have been friends with Rick since 1985!

Rick and my ex went to High School together in San Diego. Rick and I hit it off right away; we both loved music and amazing puns! I was fortunate that I got to keep Rick as my friend after the divorce!

Rick and I have been to several concerts together: Bruce Cockburn (several times), David Byrne, and Michael Franks. Maybe more, I’ll have to ask! Rick is also great at playing “Connect the Musician to their Groups!” Rick’s wife, Georgia, does a lot of photography as well.

I have a lot of very talented friends and family members. Photographers, artists, musicians, writers, graphic artists… My sister is creative, and her daughter, Claire, is an actor, performance artist, director, and my favorite niece!

Rick and my best friend, John Hughes, both worked at Bill Gambels, a men’s clothing store in San Diego, back in the late 1970s. We have other connections as well; one of his old girlfriends was a twin, Gale and Dale. I did wedding photos for Dale when he married a friend of mine.

Rick is a talented guy; he writes, plays guitar, makes amazing puns, restored an old Ford Truck, and takes photos of me. I am including Rick here as he is a Photo Conservator. He might be surprised at the title… Rick has a collection of photos from his grandfather that he has cared for for many years.
