These are some of the photographers that have influnced my photography

Ansel Adams was my earli
My dad always had a camera. He did a pretty good job. I have a good collection of early family photos. He did a good job of composing images. One of my favorites is a photo of my Mom and me sitting on an outcropping in Mirror Lake in Yosemite.
It was probably a very early National Geographic magazine where I first saw the work of Ansel Adams. Ansel Adams’ Zone System, dividing black and white tones into 10 shades from absolute black to pure white. Fred Picker refined the Zone System, setting Zone VI as the easiest zone to set exposure to. I’ll spare you the technical details, but I recommend The Negative, by Ansel Adams, and The Zone VI Handbook, by Fred Picker.
Duane Michaels and his surrealistic images inspired a few photos of mine as well. I’ll have to find those and share.
Andy Warhol used many artistic media in his work.
Freeman Patterson made a lot of images using slow shutter speeds and camera movement. More images I have to hunt for.
